 Spheredivers Homestay provides accomodation for Divers and Non Divers.Diving packages varies upon guests request whether to dive in Sipadan Island or hunting for small critters around Mabul and Kapalai dive sites.As for snorkelers, its all free to snorkels around Mabul Island.We also provides Discovery Scuba and PADI/SSI Open Water courses to guests,not to mention other courses from Advanced to Dive Master courses by our most experienced Instructor(PADI/SSI). |
Our Homestay
 | Situated in Mabul Island,Spheredivers Homestay and Scuba Diving is among the Bajau people houses who lives on stilts.So do our homestay, maintaining the originality of the surroundings creating a similar environment to our guests. Guests form all over the world would definitely experience the culture of this island with its friendly people with a well construct diving facilities to cater for your dives.We mainly serve traditional Malay food but also offers simple western food especially for breakfast. |
 | In Mabul island and Kapalai,hunting for small critters is a must especially for photographers.Finding from Blue Ring Octopus,various types of Nudibranch,Flamboyant Cuttlefish,Pygmy Seahorse,varieties of Ghostpipefish and Pikachu to name a few.We have more than 20 muck dive sites to cater for macro lovers. |
 | Only 25 minutes from our homestay is the worlds top dive site,Sipadan Island.In Sipadan Barracuda, Travelly, Turtles, Sharks and many more pelagics awaits you.Its a 600 meter wall dive to most of the dive sites in Sipadan.Catch an early morning dive to experience the school of hammerheads. Turtle Tomb also is another challenge for divers trained to do cavern dive.Or you can hover around at 5/10 meters to enjoy the breathtaking beauty of corals that stretches front of you. |
 | Si Amil is located south of Boheyan and more than an hour by speed boat from Semporna. It is the only island with a steep hill covered in rainforest . Landing on the main beach the left over of a Japanese fish factory that was built as a cover for surveillance activities prior to WW2 can be seen.Right in front of the main beach there is the wreck of an old vessel that was used by the Japanese during the war with the boiler being the main point of interest. At the east side of the island, where the ocean floor drops into the several hundred meter deep Alice Channel, the dive sites offer excellent visibility with colorful sea fans and hard coral domination the landscape. At night bamboo sharks are seen in numbers, but even in day time shark sightings are common as well as schooling rainbow runner and rays. |
How to get there
Key Trips
There's no airport in Semporna, so book your flight to Tawau (some airlines via Kuala Lumpur/K.Kinabalu) instead and a 45 minutes ride by taxi to Semporna.For domestic , Airasia flies directly from LCCT (Kuala Lumpur) to Tawau,whereas Malaysian Airlines(MAS) at this moment only flies to Tawau via Kota Kinabalu.To reach Mabul Island, it is a 30-minutes boat ride from Semporna and 25 min from Sipadan Island.
